Make & Create: a fiber design craft class for kids age 7-15
Sewing is not only fun and creative, it is practical and universal. In these classes, hands-on step-by-step instruction provided to guide students in making something as only they can imagine. Students can design and sew a fashion or craft they can wear, use or give as gifts. Classes will cover textile art, aesthetics, fashion history, fabric and pattern terminology, and needle art skills. Students will be empowered to pick up needle and thread to make something as unique as them.

Schedule: Wednesdays 4:00 PM-5:00 PM
Learn to sew bags, toys, accessories and more! Plus seasonal crafts to celebrate the holidays and give as gifts. Halloween masks, fleece hats, Thanksgiving décor, Christmas gifts. All hand sewn with love.
Fee, includes all materials: $25 per class, $45 for 2

Teacher Amelia Dombrowski has over ten years professional experience designing with top NYC costume shops, operas and theaters. Amelia has a BS in Film from Northwestern University and a MFA in Design from NYU Tisch School of the Arts, where she studied under Susan Hilferty (Wicked, Spring Awakening). Amelia also taught sewing and costume design courses at the Professional Performing Arts High School.
